CITY Microfinance Institution Plc.
CITY Microfinance Institution Plc. (“CITY MFI” or the “Company”) was established in 2012 with a vision to promote financial inclusion and expand access to financial services for individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) throughout the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The Company was registered in Cambodia as a public limited company under registration number Co. 1568 E/2012, issued by the Ministry of Commerce on 4 June 2012. Subsequently, on 21 August 2012, the Company obtained a license from the National Bank of Cambodia (“NBC”) to operate as a microfinance institution.
Under its license, the Company is authorized to provide credit services to individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises, with the objective of addressing their financial needs, supporting economic activities, and creating opportunities for customer growth and development.
Since commencing operations, the Company has remained committed to the belief that responsible access to financial services can create new opportunities, improve livelihoods, and contribute to the sustainable development of communities.
Throughout its development, CITY MFI has continuously strived to enhance service quality, strengthen customer trust, and provide accessible, appropriate, and customer-focused financial solutions. At the same time, the Company remains committed to conducting its operations responsibly and transparently, complying with applicable regulations, and contributing to Cambodia’s sustainable economic development.
Since its establishment in 2012, CITY MFI has continued to move forward with a steadfast commitment to creating financial opportunities and contributing to a better future for the people and communities of Cambodia.
